Brian Lagesse is passionate about fighting on behalf of clients impacted by eminent domain takings in Georgia. He has always felt compelled to use his talents and experience to help property owners pursue fair compensation.

Brian has been an attorney in North Carolina since 2015 working in real estate and eminent domain and joined the GA Eminent Domain Law Firm in 2025 to work zealously for property owners in Georgia, too. Regarding his role and responsibilities as a Georgia eminent domain attorney, Brian states:

“I feel that eminent domain is the greatest area of the law to be involved in, and it is an honor to be able to help the property owners of Georgia seek the compensation they may deserve. The fact that I get to focus solely on eminent domain cases and provide real help to people who have rarely, if ever, experienced eminent domain before is incredible. I am proud to represent property owners and fight to uphold their constitutional rights.”

Our Founding Fathers felt that the right to own and keep our property was so important that they put it alongside our rights to free speech, free exercise of religion, and protection from unfair criminal proceedings.

“Yes, the government can take your property, but citizens must be justly compensated for the taking, which was a pretty novel idea at the time. Without that crucial aspect, you wouldn’t actually own your land, you would just be borrowing it from the government until they wanted it back. Because of the Fifth Amendment, you own your property and have the right to fight for just compensation. I’m honored to continue that fight for property owners,” said Brian.

Brian was an accomplished negotiator in law school, a member of the Law Review, and competitor in Trial Advocacy competitions. His compassion, intelligence, and work ethic  drive him as he advocates for his clients.

When Brian isn’t helping his clients navigate the intricacies of eminent domain law, he enjoys watching college sports (primarily Duke and Baylor), spending time with his wife, daughter, and their two (large) dogs, and being involved with his church.

Get a free case
evaluation today.

There are only a handful of attorneys in GA who practice eminent domain exclusively. And even fewer with DOT experience. That’s why it’s always worth it to get a free case evaluation.

Here’s how it works:

1) Tell us about your situation.

2) We research your property as needed, using DOT maps, our own technology, and experience to see the exact effects.

3) We let you know what we think a fair offer would be. This evaluation is free, and there’s no
pressure or obligation to hire us after.

But please don’t wait to act. Waiting can hurt your case, and the cost is the same: free.
